Earlier on Sunday, Under Armour organized a prospect camp at Carrollton High School in Carrollton, Georgia, hosted by the alma mater of former Volunteers corner commit Shamar Arnoux and current USC commit Julian Lewis. The event drew the presence of numerous high-profile prospects aiming for an invitation to the prestigious Under Armour All-American Game. Among the attendees was Darrell Johnson, a linebacker from Dodge County High School, who successfully earned an invitation. According to On3’s Matt Ray, Johnson is set to join the campus in the upcoming spring. In 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, he holds the No. 63 spot in the 2025 class.

Having showcased his skills prominently during the camp, Johnson caught the attention as one of the standout players. In the previous year’s Under Armour All-American Game, several 2024 signees from the Volunteers, such as Kaleb Beasley, Edrees Farooq, Mike Matthews, Peyton Lewis, and Jordan Ross, participated. As of November 28th, 2023, Johnson is Crystal Balled to Florida State, according to insights from Florida State insider Zach Blostein of Noles247. The departure of linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary, who accepted a position at Michigan, adds an element of intrigue to Tennessee’s role in Johnson’s recruitment. With spring ball approaching, the Volunteers are eager to exert a significant influence on this recruitment.
