Jason Kelce is giving his ill-fated Luchador mask back to its proper owner.

The Luchador mask worn by Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce in Las Vegas, following his brother Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory, is set to be returned to its proper owner. Kelce initially claimed he found the mask on the floor but, upon learning of its rightful owner, eighth-grader Elijah Smith from Dallas, he has taken on the responsibility of reuniting the mask with Smith.

Smith, a devoted Chiefs fan, explained that he lent the mask to Kelce during the celebratory festivities, but it got separated in the crowd. Despite the good-natured approach of Smith and his family, who view the mask as a good luck charm and requested its return before the 2024 NFL season, Kelce is determined to ensure the mask finds its way back to its owner.

During a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Kelce shared how the Luchador mask elevated his evening, describing its discovery as transformative. Despite the enjoyment Kelce derived from wearing the mask, there is speculation among teammates about whether his recent carefree attitude suggests he might not be eager to return to football. Eagles fans are naturally hopeful that this is not the case, but only time will tell.
