Robert Gillespie, the Alabama RB coach, is appreciative of his recent promotion.
This week, Alabama running backs coach Robert Gillespie received a promotion to Assistant Head Coach, in addition to retaining his positional responsibilities. The promotion was part of the staff adjustments made by Kalen DeBoer following the retirement of Nick Saban. Alongside Gillespie, defensive coach and Associate Head Coach Freddie Roach also received a promotion.
In response to the news, Gillespie expressed his gratitude on social media, sharing his reaction to the newly acquired title.
Gillespie, who has been a part of the Crimson Tide since 2021, played a significant role in developing notable running backs like Brian Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams, Jam Miller, and Justice Haynes. The promotion recognizes his contributions to the team and reflects the trust placed in him by the coaching staff under the leadership of Kalen DeBoer.
