Starter for the Ravens is a desirable trade target for the 49ers and Saints.49ers Home | San Francisco 49ers – 49ers.com

The Baltimore Ravens may entertain offers for key starters as they aim to manage their budget and make adjustments to their roster for the 2024 season. Offensive tackle is a sought-after position, with teams like the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers reportedly expressing interest in acquiring Ravens OL Morgan Moses.

Moses, a seasoned lineman, has been committed to the Ravens for two seasons, contributing significantly with 17 starts in 2022 and 14 starts in 2023 at the tackle position. Known for his versatility, he has primarily played right tackle throughout his career but switched between left and right when Ronnie Stanley was unavailable.

Approaching his 33rd birthday at the start of the 2024 season, Moses remains a desirable option, earning an impressive grade of 80.4 from Pro Football Focus, ranking him 10th among all NFL tackles.

The San Francisco 49ers, coming off a Super Bowl loss, are particularly interested in upgrading their right tackle position for the 2024 season. Colton McKivitz’s performance has been identified as a potential weak point, and the acquisition of Moses is seen as a strategic move to bolster the offensive line.

For the New Orleans Saints, protecting quarterback Derek Carr is a priority after a challenging season in which Carr was sacked 31 times. Limited by significant cap constraints, the Saints are eyeing players on budget-friendly deals, making Moses an appealing target given his expiring contract and “modest base salary.”

Despite Moses’ strong contributions, there is speculation about the Ravens considering a trade to address their need for younger talent at the offensive tackle position. This move could free up cap space and potentially yield valuable draft picks, allowing the Ravens to invest in promising prospects. The possibility of acquiring a pick, similar to the No.42 overall in a mock draft scenario, adds to the strategic considerations for the Ravens in potentially parting ways with Moses.
