Claudell Harris Jr. contributed 20 points, and Devin McGlockton added 19 as Boston College halted a two-game losing streak by defeating Louisville 89-77 in Chestnut Hill, Mass., on Tuesday night. Despite trailing by eight early in the second half, Boston College managed to level the score at 54-54 with 15:09 remaining, thanks to Quinten Post’s three-pointer. This shot was part of a 20-1 run that the Eagles utilized to seize control of the game. Donald Hand Jr. concluded the surge with a layup, propelling Boston College ahead 68-55 with 10:34 left. The Eagles (14-10, 5-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) expanded their lead to 15 points with 9:01 on the clock. Although Louisville (8-17, 3-11) staged a comeback, trailing 79-73 with 3:11 to play, the Eagles responded by scoring the next eight points. Post finished with 17 points, six blocks, six rebounds, and five assists, contributing to Boston College’s 56.7 percent shooting from the field (34 of 60). The Eagles also connected on 11 of 23 attempts from beyond the arc. Brandon Huntley-Hatfield and Tre White each posted 21 points for the Cardinals, with Huntley-Hatfield grabbing nine rebounds. Louisville played without sophomore point guard Skyy Clark, who suffered a rib injury during Saturday’s win over Georgia Tech. Clark, a transfer from Illinois and the team’s second-highest scorer (13.1 points per game), has started 22 games this season but was unavailable on Tuesday. Louisville, outscored 50-30 in the second half, now holds a 1-8 record on the road this season.
