Can the Browns acquire Eagles edge rusher Haason Reddick through trade?
In the previous offseason, the Browns heavily relied on trades to strengthen their roster, and it appears that General Manager Andrew Berry is currently considering similar moves. One potential trade target could be from the NFC East, as the Eagles have given edge rusher Hasson Reddick permission to explore trade opportunities.
Last year, Reddick’s performance significantly improved after joining Philadelphia, where he tied for second in sacks (16.0) alongside Myles Garrett and led the league in forced fumbles with five. His contributions played a crucial role in the Eagles’ playoff journey in 2022, where he recorded 3.5 sacks during their run to Super Bowl LVII, ultimately losing to the Chiefs.
Although Reddick remained productive in 2023 with 11.0 sacks, he experienced a decline in performance. Despite his individual success, the team struggled, losing six of their last seven games, including a disappointing NFC wild card loss.
For the upcoming season, Reddick is slated to earn $15.5 million in 2024. The Browns, led by GM Andrew Berry, are likely monitoring potential trade opportunities and considering how Reddick could enhance their roster.
