Talented tight end signed by Georgia Football Ben Yurosek using the transfer website
Georgia Football has secured another player through the Transfer Portal, with Benjamin Yurosek joining the team on Friday. Yurosek, a standout tight end who spent four years at Stanford, is recognized not only as one of the top tight ends in the Pac-12 but also among the best in the nation.
During his time at Stanford, Yurosek posted impressive numbers, recording 108 receptions for 1,342 yards over the past three years. In 2021, he led the Cardinals in receiving with 658 yards. Despite playing only six games in 2023 due to a shoulder injury, Yurosek still managed to make an impact, catching 16 passes for 239 yards. The injury is not expected to affect his performance going into the 2024 season.
Hailing from Bakersfield, California, Yurosek draws comparisons to Brock Bowers, having even carried the ball during his time at Stanford with 11 carries for 53 yards.
Georgia’s tight end roster was already brimming with talent, featuring rising junior Oscar Delp, who filled in for Bowers when he was injured in 2023, totaling 24 catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, the team boasts Lawson Luckie, Pearce Spurlin III, Colton Heinrich, and Jaden Reddell in the tight end position, presenting a formidable array of options.
The Bulldogs’ offense has seen significant additions through the Transfer Portal, with names like Trevor Etienne, Colbie Young, Michael Jackson III, and Landon Humphries providing additional weapons for quarterback Carson Beck. The 2024 season is anticipated to showcase a potent Georgia offense, and Yurosek’s arrival is expected to enhance the team’s dynamism even further.
