Kelly Stafford’s worries for 49ers spouses following the expensive Super Bowl 2024 suite incident.
The revelation about the Super Bowl’s suite prices has become public knowledge. Recent discussions about the cost of suites at Allegiant Stadium for the 49ers vs. Chiefs game have gained attention, sparked by Lisa McCaffrey’s comments on her podcast, “Your Mom,” stating that her family found them prohibitively expensive.
TickPick reports that suite prices for the Las Vegas event range from $800,000 to $2 million. On Kelly Stafford’s podcast, “The Morning After,” the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, she raised the issue with Claire Kittle, the wife of 49ers tight end George Kittle.
Stafford mentioned that the suite prices had surfaced online, prompting Kittle to describe them as “absurd,” affirming that her family opted for seats in the lower bowl of the stadium instead. Stafford acknowledged the high prices and expressed relief that they were at least situated in the lower bowl, contrasting them with potentially undesirable team tickets.
Kittle shared her concern about the visibility of the 49ers’ wives, including herself, who are recognizable to NFL fans. Stafford empathized, emphasizing that people often assume players receive free tickets during the season, which is not the case.
Kittle mentioned her 6-foot-7 brother acting as a makeshift security guard. Despite players’ families being dispersed throughout the stadium, she disclosed her plan to sit next to Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk and a close friend.
Reflecting on past incidents, Stafford, no stranger to encounters with rowdy fans, recalled an incident in 2021 when she threw a pretzel at a confrontational 49ers fan during a road game in San Francisco. She acknowledged her inappropriate response, expressing embarrassment and regret for her actions while asserting her commitment to standing up for her loved ones in a more composed manner in the future.
