GAMEDAY PREVIEW: PANTHERS HOST GIANTS ON PRIDE NIGHT.GIANT Indigenous pride - AFL NSW / ACT

Tonight, the Nottingham Panthers are hosting the Belfast Giants at the Motorpoint Arena on Pride Night in the Elite League, with a face-off scheduled for 7 pm. More than 5,000 tickets have already been sold for this significant Saturday night event in Nottingham, sponsored by Loughborough Business School.

Tickets for tonight’s game are available online or in-person at the Motorpoint Arena Box Office before the face-off. In team news, Josh Tetlow and Ollie Betteridge will be absent due to injuries, while Austin Farley is expected to make a return. However, there are some minor injury concerns, including Tyler Welsh.

Various activities are planned around the rink, such as the presence of the Notts LGBT+ Network in the foyer distributing Pride-themed items. Additionally, limited edition Pride Night replica jerseys will be on sale, with ten percent of the profits benefiting the Notts LGBT+ Network. The Charity of the Month for January, Nottinghamshire Down’s Syndrome Support, will be present in the foyer, and a dance performance is scheduled between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.

Pantherland on Bolero Square will be open from 11 am until half an hour after the game, offering Panthers merchandise. Pass the Pizza, sponsored by Jon Doe, involves giving away pizzas during the second-period powerbreak, with winners exchanging their pizza boxes for voucher codes at the Panthers Kiosk in the foyer.

The Dance Cam, in association with 2Fawcett, provides attendees with the opportunity to showcase their dance moves on the jumbotron during the third-period powerbreak. Flowervision sponsors a second-period intermission flower giveaway, and The Panthers Vault, in association with Interseal Fire Protection, offers a chance to win money with tickets costing £1.

Various raffles provide additional opportunities to win prizes, including Chuck-a-Puck sponsored by Midlands Chauffeurs, a Shirt Raffle featuring a custom-made Pride Night jersey, and a Fifty50 raffle with a cash prize. Unsuccessful participants in the Shirt Off His Back or Fifty50 are encouraged to keep their tickets for a second-prize draw, with the winner announced on social media channels and the website.

For those unable to attend, Panthers TV will broadcast the game live, featuring commentary by Jono Bullard and former Panthers netminder Dan Green.
