In late January, Grant Beerman, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound linebacker from West Chester (OH) Lakota West H.S., visited Bloomington to explore the IU football program during Junior Day. This visit marked his first time at IU, and he expressed satisfaction with various aspects, including the facilities, stadium, and the unexpectedly spacious weight room. Beerman spoke positively about the coaching staff, particularly defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Bryant Haines, emphasizing their coaching style and energy. He felt comfortable with the coaches and highlighted the significance of the conversation with Coach Curt Cignetti, believing Cignetti would make a substantial impact on IU.

The IU coaches conveyed to Beerman that he is a priority in their 2025 recruiting class, emphasizing his athleticism, speed, and versatility to cover multiple positions. Beerman expressed confidence in IU’s potential within the Big Ten and excitement about the new coaching staff.
