Amazingly, a former quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles retires at age 24.

According to a CBS Sports story, a once-promising quarterback in the National Football League who began his career in the Philadelphia Eagles organization has retired at the age of 24.

Carson Strong took to social media on Wednesday to declare his retirement from the NFL.

Due to a knee ailment, Strong was not selected in the draft and trained with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Strong did not make the 53-man roster of the Eagles. Later on, he connected with the Arizona Cardinals, but his release was swift.

Strong made his final appearance with the Michigan Panthers of the USFL before being placed on injured reserve.

Strong posted on social media, saying, “I can hang up the cleats knowing I pushed my knee as far as I possibly could.” “Last season, I even participated in the scout team as a quarterback for Nevada to see if I could play again or not. The knee is at capacity for more ball.

According to a Nevada SportsNet report, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound quarterback competed for four seasons at the University of Nevada, from 2018 to 21. During that time, he started three of those seasons and won two of them as the Mountain West Player of the Year. According to the SportsNet article, Strong had knee issues even in high school.

Carson said that he will start a new job as a private quarterback coach and offensive coordinator at Reno High School.
