Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already told the future employers how long he will stay in the post.
Liverpool fans are still stunned by Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave this summer.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has announced that he will leave the club at the conclusion of the season. In an emotional recorded message released on Thursday, the German manager acknowledged his decision to terminate his historic nine-year reign at Anfield.
“Yes, I need to [explain].” In a video released to social media, Klopp told Liverpool’s official website that he would depart the club at the end of the season.
I understand how shocking it is for many people to hear it for the first time, but certainly, I can explain it, or at least try to.
“I love everything about this club. I enjoy everything about the city. I adore everything about our fans. I adore the team. I adore the staff. I love everything.
“The fact that I am still making this decision demonstrates that I believe it is one I must make. It is that I am… how can I put this? I am running out of energy.
“I have no problem right now. I guess I’ve known for a while that I’ll have to make an announcement at some point.
“But I’m perfectly fine now. But I also know that I can’t keep doing the job.
And, after all the years we had together, all the time we spent together, and all the things we went through together, my respect for you grew, as did my love for you, and the last thing I owe you is the truth, which is the truth.
Liverpool have stated that deputy managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, as well as elite development coach Vitor Matos, will join Klopp in leaving their positions.
Lijnders is reported to be ready to begin his own management career, having previously been mentioned as Klopp’s prospective successor at Anfield.
Liverpool’s 56-year-old manager led the club to its first Premier League title in 30 years in 2020.
He also won the Champions League the ensuing season and led the Reds to two additional finals in 2018 and 2022.
Klopp achieved the domestic cup double in the 2021/22 season by winning both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. His trophy cabinet now includes the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FA Community Shield.
