BREAKING NEWS: Kansas City Chiefs have received injury carer ending…………

Super Bowl LVIII injury updates for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

A look at the injury reports as the Chiefs and 49ers prepare for their big game in Las Vegas.
One more game of the NFL season remains, as the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs prepare to face off in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

After defeating the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens respectively in last weekend’s Championship games, the two Super Bowl finalists have a fortnight to prepare for the big game and get as healthy as they can be.

Here’s a glance at the injury situation on either side.

Kansas City Chiefs Injuries.

Andy Reid, the Chiefs’ head coach, will have to deal with a multitude of injuries before the game on February 11.

Defensive end Charles Omenihu tore his ACL against the Ravens and will miss the Super Bowl. Omenihu’s seven sacks ranked him third on the Chiefs this season, despite missing the first six games due to suspension.

Joe Thuney missed the game against Baltimore due to a pectoral injury, and the All-Pro guard is currently doubtful for the Super Bowl.

Linebacker Willie Gay also missed the Ravens’ triumph due to a neck injury, but given that he was a game-time decision, hopes are strong that he will be able to play in Las Vegas.

Then there’s the somewhat unusual example of Kadarius Toney, who claimed he wasn’t injured despite being sidelined since Week 15 with ankle and hip issues. Reid stated on Monday that the wide receiver had been hurt and is expected to return.

San Francisco 49ers’ injuries
The 49ers presently have a much better injury list than the Chiefs, with a number of players picking up minor injuries during the win over Detroit but not anticipated to miss the game against the Chiefs.

George Kittle injured his toe but is anticipated to be fine. Ambry Thomas departed the NFC Championship game with an ankle injury but is also expected to be fine, as is Christian McCaffrey, who was hit hard on his final carry on Sunday.
