Following Sunday night’s loss to the 49ers, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell was both heartbroken and proud.

This is what he had to say.

“I’m very proud of all of these guys. I am. And it’s difficult when you lose that way. It’s hard. You know you feel like you’re having your heart ripped out. But I’m proud of that bunch, and I’d go anywhere with them. You wish you could keep it all together, but that’s not the case. So, you know, we did some very excellent things, but today we didn’t do enough, and it was difficult.
