NRL club interested in three signings, including Hull KR star.

According to sources, the Canterbury Bulldogs are planning an ambitious triple swoop for all three May brothers, including new Hull KR player Tyrone May.

The dynamic halfback came over to the Super League as an NRL winner with the Catalans Dragons in 2022, then solidified himself as the team’s stand-off in 2023, helping the club return to Old Trafford, where they fell short against the Wigan Warriors.

Following that, he signed a two-year contract with Hull KR; however, the Canterbury Bulldogs, who were associated with May early in 2023, are exploring a triple swoop for May, his brothers Taylan, and Terrell.

Hull KR is in a solid position, with May contracted for two years and given the number 27 shirt for the 2024 season.

According to sources in the Sydney Morning Herald, the Bulldogs have approached Taylan May, the Panthers’ premiership-winning player. The Belmore club has indicated an interest in signing May to his management if he is willing to look outside of Penrith.

May, who is 22 years old, has one year left on his contract with the Panthers and has been free to talk with other teams for 2025 and beyond since November of last year.

The Bulldogs have been in talks with Terrell May, a forward for the Roosters and the brother of a Panthers player, about joining the team as early as 2024. May made his Panthers debut in 2021, and he had a tremendous season, scoring 16 tries in 21 games to help his team win the premiership in 2022.

However, he sustained an ACL injury during the 2023 World Club Challenge, which sidelined him for the whole season. Sunia Turuva replaced him on the wing, and Penrith went on to win their third consecutive title. If May is truly interested in making a move, the Bulldogs are willing to meet with him to discuss his possibilities.
