Tatum stated in an interview with Marc J. Spears of Andscape that the current Celtics are the most skilled team he has ever been a part of.

“This is by far the most talented squad I’ve ever been on. It is the most selfless team. And that’s not to suggest that other teams I’ve been on weren’t as talented or selfish; it’s simply the talent level we have from one to five and where we are in our careers. We’ve got Jrue [Holiday], who has previously won a championship. We have guys who have made All-Star games, including JB [Jaylen Brown], who made All-NBA. I’ve been on the All-NBA first team for a few years in a row, guys have been paid, and we’re all just doing whatever it takes to win on a regular basis.”
