Local Ravens supporters get ready to pack Lew’s Grill & Bar for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.

WALDO, Missouri (KCTV) – With the Chiefs heading to their sixth consecutive AFC Championship game, some in Kansas City may believe that everyone in town is a Chiefs fan. However, a brief stop at Lew’s Grill & Bar in Waldo will immediately reveal that this is not the case.

Friday night, the “Purple Faithful” in Kansas City began to fortify their position for Sunday’s big game.

“I’ve just been really excited that the Ravens have gotten this far,” explained Lynne Bailey-Hammel. “I have to say, the Chiefs supporters have been quite polite to us. Despite the fact that I’ve been wearing purple all week, the majority of them have not treated me harshly.”

For those in Kansas City who want to watch the game at Lew’s, the bartenders advised arriving early. They will open at 11 a.m. and expect a packed house.
