Derrick Brown, a Panthers star, has been named to the Pro Bowl following a record-setting season.
The Carolina Panthers will send a top defensive player to his first Pro Bowl next month.
Derrick Brown, a defensive tackle, was named to the NFL’s all-star game on Friday, replacing Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald on the NFC roster.
Brown had a tremendous season in 2023, setting a new defensive line tackle record of 103. In addition to his triple-digit tackle total, he recorded two sacks and his second career interception.
The Panthers’ star was initially nominated as a Pro Bowl alternate, but is replacing Donald when he sustained an injury.
Carolina teammates Brian Burns, Johnny Hekker, and J.J. Jansen were all named alternates.
The Pro Bowl will be place in Orlando on February 4, with skill events earlier that week.
