Coventry City’s resurgence prompts new display of dedication, with top-six triumph appearing inked in.

Latest Coventry City news from CoventryLive, as supporters express their love for Mark Robins’ high-flying tea.

It seems Coventry City fans are being lured to the squad in a fresh way as Mark Robins and Co surge up the Championship table.

Hampered by the summer departures of star players Viktor Gyökeres and Gus Hamer, the Sky Blues have taken time to regain the form that saw them reach the play-off final last season.

But they’re back on top form today, and Saturday’s impressive 3-1 home triumph over runaway leaders Leicester City not only put them back in the top six for the first time this season, but it also fueled a growing fan base’s special dedication.

Conroy Williams, a Sky Blues fan himself, tells the BBC that he has witnessed a significant increase in City fans visiting his tattoo business to get tattooed in support of their side.

Williams, who owns the De ja vu Tattoo Studio in Bedworth, tattooed a couple of supporters’ club members and said word spread, resulting in around 400 inquiries in five days.

“It just simply burst,” he said. “This type of thing just doesn’t happen. “People kept coming in.

The Coventry City season ticket holder claims word traveled quickly after tattooing one man’s leg with a Coventry City crest.

“He must know everyone in Bedworth and Nuneaton because people kept coming in,” he went on to say.

Those newly tattooed Sky Blues fans will next support their club against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (3pm kick-off), when Robins and his players will look to continue their eight-match unbeaten run against the Championship strugglers.
