Latest News: Aston Villa approves player’s contract for the second half of the season; player will end up elsewhere
Oliwier Zych was granted a loan by Aston Villa to the Polish team Puszcza Niepołomice last summer.
The goalie, who will end the season at Puszcza Niepołomice, has given up 20 goals in 10 league games while keeping two clean sheets.
Tomasz Włodarczyk, a journalist with Meczyki.pl, stated on X that Aston Villa had ‘decided to let’ the 19-year-old to continue in Poland.
Last summer, Puszcza Niepołomice was forced to sign Kewin Komar, who was owned by Aston Villa, due to a significant injury setback.
According to Meczyki.pl, he has persuaded the Polish club to extend his stay with his current performances, and the Villans’ approval was required to make this decision.
It is mentioned that Puszcza Niepołomice is where Unai Emery’s team has decided to allow the Poland U20 international finish this season. Zych will rejoin the team in the “coming days,” according to the website, and he will begin training for the next games.
The teenaged goalkeeper from Zagłębie Lubin was recruited by Aston Villa in 2020 for their academy, but he hasn’t played for the senior club yet. He has made 26 appearances for the Aston Villa U21 team thus far.
