Latest News: West Ham United boss David Moyes is reportedly looking to recruit a dangerous striker this month.
West Ham United manager David Moyes is allegedly looking to add an experienced striker in the January transfer window.
Serhou Guirassy is one forward on the Hammers’ radar, and it is claimed that he has a release clause in his contract that allows us to buy him for roughly £15-17 million.
Moyes’ whole first-choice front line is currently unavailable for selection, with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta out injured and Mohammed Kudus away with Ghana at the AFCON.
Furthermore, Michail Antonio is not likely to return until the middle of next month at the earliest.
So bringing in someone like Guirassy this month will be critical if we are to sustain our strong start to the season…
West Ham manager David Moyes has begun negotiations to sign a striker.
The Hammers are reportedly in talks to sign the prolific Guinea international striker.
Guirassy would be a fantastic addition for West Ham, and I believe he would score a lot of goals for us.
The 27-year-old has been on fire in Germany this season, scoring 19 goals in 16 appearances (Transfermarkt) and trailing just Harry Kane in the Bundesliga goalscoring statistics.
The striker hailed his form this season as “incredible” (Reuters), and he’s not wrong.
He is a strong aerialist, an exceptionally powerful runner, a fast runner, and an outstanding finisher. Serhou Guirassy joining West Ham for just £17 million in the January transfer window should be a no-brainer.
With his strength, finishing ability, and menace from behind, the Stuttgart centre-forward would take us to a whole new level of lethal.
If Moyes is going to sign the striker this month, he needs to do it as quickly as possible because our next Premier League game is in a week.
