Jadon Sancho makes a loan return to Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho, who has played 137 games for Dortmund in the past, is returning, and this is a big deal for the team and the individual.

“It felt like ‘coming home’ when I walked into the changing room today,” Sancho said, expressing his happiness. I am intimately familiar with the club.”

“I can’t wait to see my teammates again, get out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, get assists, score goals and help the club qualify for the Champions League.”

In expressing his excitement for Sancho’s comeback, BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl said, “Jadon is an absolute difference-maker…we’re sure that he’ll quickly settle back in with us, find his best form and help us to achieve our season objectives with his qualities.”

During his last spell at Dortmund, which lasted from 2017 to 2021, Sancho put up stellar performances, winning the DFB-Pokal in 2021 and scoring 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games.

Despite making 82 appearances, he only managed to score 12 goals and dish out six assists during his stint at Manchester United.

The 23-year-old England international has encountered difficulties lately since he hasn’t played for United since August 26 and hasn’t practiced with the starting squad since September.

Sancho, who started his football career in Kennington, London, at age 12, then joined Watford and Manchester City at age 14, is starting over with this loan move.

Sancho is the youngest player in BVB history to score a brace in the Bundesliga, among his many other achievements. During the 2018–19 season, he was also the leading provider with 19 assists.

Sancho is excited to help Dortmund succeed now that he’s sporting the recognizable No. 10 jersey.

He exclaimed, “I want to get started!” “To begin winning games, scoring goals, and assisting in goal formation. I am very excited.”
